{"id":7935,"date":"2023-04-11T11:58:47","date_gmt":"2023-04-11T09:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.leo-peschl.de\/?post_type=product&#038;p=7935"},"modified":"2023-05-25T09:28:39","modified_gmt":"2023-05-25T07:28:39","slug":"maserati-3500gt-am101-022-en","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.leo-peschl.de\/en\/product\/maserati-3500gt-am101-022-en\/","title":{"rendered":"Maserati 3500GT (AM101.022) EN"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">MASERATI 3500GT (AM101.022)<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">CHASSIS NUMBER: AM101.022<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">ENGINE NUMBER: AM101.022<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">A VERY SPECIAL AND ULTRA RARE MASERATI 3500GT<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This Maserati with serial number AM101.022 is proven (confirmed by Maserati Classic) to be the second oldest existing 3500GT production vehicle.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The car was delivered in Rome on March 27, 1958.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The very first 3500GTs are all unique and have many details that were lost after the start of series production.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">For example, our car has: Maserati A6CG Zagato dashboard;<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">the cylinder head still has \u2013 as with the 250F \u2013 the sockets for accommodating the water collection pipe for cooling the cylinder head.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">During the restoration of the engine, we came across camshafts that are far removed from the standard design in terms of design;<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">the width of the car is narrower than that of later vehicles (from serial number 102) and the rocker panels are much more pronounced.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Overall, the car feels much sportier than any later vehicles.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">AM101.022 was factory upgraded (also documented) in 1960 with disc brakes (front) and five speed gearbox.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The further history until today is fully known and documented.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The car was purchased by the current owner in May 2013 and has undergone an uncompromising full restoration since 2015.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The vehicle was restored in over 4000 hours according to the LP-Standard.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The work is fully documented by workshop reports, photos and invoices for \u20ac320,000.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The aim of the restoration was the repair of the body and technology to LP-Standards, but with the greatest possible preservation of the original substance.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">A detailed description can be found here:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"4S7Qcwhhim\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leo-peschl.de\/en\/portfolio\/coach-building-maserati-3500gt-am101-022\/\">Coach building: Maserati\u00a03500GT (AM101.022)<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Coach building: Maserati\u00a03500GT (AM101.022)&#8221; &#8212; Leo B.
