Delivered from the factory on March 5, 1963, directly to the Geneva International Motor Show (March 14–24, 1963).

Until 1965, the car remained as a demonstration vehicle at “Garage Ruf” in Otfrieden, Switzerland, which offered the car for sale in the Automobil Revue in 1965.
Rochus-Ernst Freiherr von Lüttwitz, a member of the old Prussian nobility, acquired No. 234 and had the car registered for the first time on June 6, 1966, in Essen (Germany).
In 1968, he sold the car to Hannes Grimm of Kaiserslautern, who kept it registered only until the end of 1970 and then stored it in his garage for 45 years until, after lengthy negotiations, it was acquired by Scuderia Azzurra in 2016 for a complete restoration.The odometer reading at that time was 73,878 km; the car was complete and, apart from a partially completed paint job, original.

2016–19: faithful full restoration, documented in detail. The car is in excellent visual and technical condition, with matching numbers and matching colors. It was driven regularly and carefully only in good weather and professionally maintained. It is therefore in outstanding condition with no outstanding maintenance issues. The original vehicle documents from the initial registration, the factory specifications including Maserati certificates, FIVA ID, as well as comprehensive documentation and invoices from the restoration are available. With chassis number 234, the car is one of the last of a total of 242 examples and represents the ultimate specification: Lucas fuel injection system, disc brakes on all four wheels, ZF 5-speed transmission, and Borrani wire-spoke wheels.
